Oreo hates getting into her cage! She struggles and I am scared she is going to hurt herself. She wan’t go in for anything but veggies but I only give those once a day and sometimes that does not even work. I don’t want to lose her trust by using a towel to rap her in so she can’t fight me. Trying to chase her in would scare her and be a wast of energy it would never get her in. I am managing right now, but if any one can think of some genuine way to get her to willingly enter, I would be much obliged.

I have read that you should block them and keep moving forward (could use something to make yourself bigger i.e. towel held out) so that they willingly get into the cage to get away from your pestering advances. For us we use food. My bun goes nuts for pellets so I decrease his daily amount to take into account the few pellets I will need to throw in his cage each time after free roam. Does you bun like treats? Maybe there is some type of food he will really enjoy that you can reserve just for getting her into the cage.

I know she loves her veggies, and fruit…maybe I’ll measure out how much I am going to give her that day, and then just spread it out for when every I need to put her away, then just give her the left overs in the evening. That would probably work… THANKS! I am going to try that.

Yes, that is what I would do. That way you are not over feeding. I like to split up my buns food anyway. It keeps him more occupied during the day. He gets his pellets 2 times a day and his salad 2 times a day and I alternate them so he is not getting all his (non-hay) food at once.
