  My baby Bunnicula is still having some health issues, although his current antibiotic seems to be helping. Despite that, I think his current litter/bedding is maybe too dusty and exacerbating his runny nose. I’m using CareFresh, and I’ve used it from the beginning, but I was wondering if anyone knew of something that would be less dusty? He likes to lay in his litter and push it around, so something soft would be preferable. My family has a lot of allergies, too (my sister is crazy allergic to Timothy hay, for example), so I’m trying to avoid any wood chips, just to be on the safe side.
  
  I know of Yesterday’s News, although I’ve never tried it. Is that a good choice? I’ll take any suggestions you might have. It’s hard to find different options in Hawaii (not a lot of great stores to find rabbit products, although I’ve been lucky enough to find a couple) so if something is really good and dust-free, I’m not opposed to ordering it online. It’s not ideal, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve spoiled my bunny…

  Something in pellet form should be less dusty, although it is not going to be as soft. You could try Yesterday’s News (unscented), which is a paper product, straw based litter such as Oxbow Eco-straw, compressed pine pellets such as Feline Pine, aspen pellets such as Aspen Supreme, wood stove pellets (make sure they have no accelerants) or horse stall pellets such as Equine Pine.

  I use Yesterday’s News and I like it. It has no dust. It can be pricey, though, so wood pellets (bunny safe as listed b TobyLuv) are an alternative.

  Yesterday’s News and Wood Stove Pellets aren’t dusty at all.
  
  I haven’t used Carefresh for my rabbits, but when I used it for the gerbils I found it to be very dusty.

  You can use tne cat bags of yesterday’s news. Same thing but cheaper apparently.
  
  Giving hay in regular, small portions and misting it with water could help with any irritants also.

  Thank you all for the replies and suggestions! Sorry I haven’t posted until now. I think I’ll look into Yesterday’s News, since I’m pretty sure they have that at my local pet store. It’ll be interesting to see if my stubborn little bun accepts the change or not. Haha.

  You can make a slow transition like you would with a new type of food. Mix a little of the new stuff in with the old. Yesterday’s news is dust-free and very tidy, I’d recommend it for a sneezy bun.

  That sounds like a very good idea. He tends to be resistant to change of any kind, so a slow transition would probably work. I’ll be picking up litter today if I can find it, so we’ll see. Thank you so much!
