Do those of you with bonded pairs transport them separately in two carriers or together in a single one? Thanks!

I’ve got a pair that’s been bonded for 2 years. I’m about to take them both to the vet for a wellness exam, in the same carrier. I’ve had no problems.

Thanks for your response! How big are your bunnies and do you know the dimensions of your carrier? I think I’m going to buy one for them to share once their bonded, and I’m trying to decide on a size! Mine are each 3-4 pounds.

Definitely use one carrier. With two small-medium buns, a medium size cat carrier should be fine. You want space for both buns to be comfortable stretched out, but not too much extra space that they are slipping and sliding around. Having their mate present is comforting for most pairs when traveling and in a strange place.

One carrier, definitely. They keep each other company and snuggle during the trip.

Thank you both for your input! I think I’ll get a carrier a size up from the one I use for one rabbit, for them to share.
