        Hi =)

         I wondered if any bunny lovers had ideas on how to protect Christmas gifts under the tree from bunny investigations?

         Last year, the bunnies enjoyed opening the majority of the presents under the tree as soon as they went under it, they enjoyed it twice as much after I had re-wrapped everything and were just thrilled the third time

        I love having the presents under the tree as soon as the tree goes up as it just adds to the festive feel for me so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to protect the gifts? So far, I’ve come up with the idea of putting a small piece of decorative fencing around them but I think that might just be seen as an enticing challenge to the buns. Now that I have 5 bunnies I worry that it is just unavoidable!

        What does everyone else do?

          I’ve given up on putting presents on the floor and now I generally set a table next to the tree and stack presents on it, lol. A decorative fence might work as well.

            A tree skirt of NIC grids over the presents (decorate the NIC grids so that it will still look nice)

              I was going to say NIC grids, but they aren’t very attractive to look at Maybe order red and green ones? Then you could get some glitter or make paper ornaments. I am not sure how dangerous the glitter would be for bunnies though. OR you could make “Christmas Stockings” out of colored paper sacks for the bunnies and tie them with straw string to the outside of the red and green grids. Stuff the sacks with hay, or other bun safe items for bunny stockings

                I would try to make some sort of decorative fencing too.

                  You know those mini picket fences used to decorate gardens? Would that work? I would get unpainted ones.

                    Jessie, I *love* your rabbit-friendly stocking + NIC wall idea- I might use that to deter Merida from our tiny fake tree (first Christmas with the bun, don’t even know if she’ll care lol)

                      I think we’re going to go for the fence! They do love a good chew on a fence though but at least it might save some presents!

                      I love the stocking deterrent too!

                      I’m excited!!!!!!
