My English Lop rabbit Kelby currently has a small sore on the underside of his ear, it has been there for a little over a month, it doesn’t seem to bother him-so I’ve just been keeping an eye on it, also; he doesn’t mind it being touched either.

It started fairly small and the color of the underside of his ear, but over time it has gradually gotten larger and turned red.

More recently another one (smaller in size and still skin color) has appeared a couple of inches away from it, now I’m a bit worried.

My first thought was possibly a wart?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

(Also, for those of you who don’t know the breed-his ears drag on the ground constantly, I thought that it may possibly be an infected cut?)

If it’s been there for a month and is getting bigger I would definitely have it checked out by a vet. It could be a couple things. How do his ears look inside? Are they dirty or waxy at all? Are his nails trimmed regularly? I can’t tell from the pic, where on the ear is it?

P.S. Yay! Someone else with E-Lops!

I really think a vet visit is a good idea… Even if it is nothing substantial an early visit and simple treatment might stave off an infection that could become a problem later.
