Thanks for your response RabbitPam. Yes I agree she’s annoyed/scared about something. I was just out of ideas because I couldn’t hear anything or see anything..it was making me nuts! I just pet her, and she was very stiff…which is typical of when she’s nervous about something. We live on a very rural street so there are frequently deer, foxes, cats and other wildlife hanging around. But there are deer around often and she never makes a stink. Birds, yes..but I couldn’t hear any. I’m thinking perhaps it was an animal, so I looked on the deck/ in back yard and couldn’t see anything. They are in our back sun room (inside) that is attached to the deck (they’re completely inside though). I know she is bothered if she hears a barking dog that might be too far for my ears to hear, so perhaps that? Oh I hope there isn’t a creature in my house!! haha It is possible there was a bug or something, but I took a look and again didn’t see anything. Whenever she behaves like this, which isn’t very often thank goodness, it’s always around the same time (1am – 4am). So I’m leaning towards an animal that’s out at that time only. If they sense that they are close?
Yes I have a second bunny, and he rarely ever thumps, it’s always nervous Oreo that thumps and Blu just stares at her. He looked scared like he was aware that something was bothering her, but he just sat in his pen on his cottage roof staring at her on her cottage roof! They are housed separately but next to each other.
Although it’s a valid idea, I don’t think she is looking for attention..at all. She loves her alone time
I usually try to ignore it (bc I don’t feel like going downstairs) but it went on for so long that I wanted to check things out. She’s been calm and normal since..it was just that window of time. You’d think a baby would interrupt my sleep more than my (4 yr old) bunny!
