I have a french Angora, Piglet had shocking matted fur a while ago as I could not keep up with it. I took hi to my vet but their groomer was not very experiened. I hunted about and found several experienced bunny groomers for different costs. One was a lady who showed angora rabbits, she would come to the house for set costs per item, I’E Nails, Scissor Trim etc, another was a breeder of angora’s and cashmere’s but she only worked from home but her costs were quite reasonable, then I found Peta who did some work for one of the rescues shaving and grooming to rescue buns that came in in a bad way… Peta harges me $25 per hour. In an hour she can usually do all seven bunnies nails and a quick clip on Piglet, the full Summer shave for Piglet takes up the full hour usually but we have a good time I cuddle Piglet and get groomed by him whilst Peta does her work… Do some research locally and maybe you can locate someone to do the grooming, start with your local shelters and rescues, they may also do it for a small fee and you would be supporting a good cause.
