  So to start off we started watching a friends 2 buns for a while and this convinced us to get our own. All three of them did well together but we had to give the two bunnies back to their owners after a 3 month period. As if this wasn’t traumatic enough we just moved to a new appartment too and now our bunny is not eating or drinking nearly as much and is very aggressive to us and she has never been before she was always so happy like a puppy. We have no idea what we should do help please!!!!!

  Well, you probably are right that all these new changes have got her upset. How old is she? Is she spayed? Is she eating even a little? Peeing & pooping normally? What is her diet? What is her housing like? Give us the answers to those questions and we’ll be better able to help you.

  She is 6 months old she eats 3 different kinds of greens no iceburg and she gets a carrot or two sometimes. She gets plenty of timothy hay which usually is her favorite thing in the world and will eat it all day. She has a 4×2 cage with woodchips a play house and a few toys and a waterbottle. She is not fixed and as far as we can tell she is going to thw bathroom still but she is eating barely anything and drinking less ahe usually goes through at least one full bottle a day we havent filled it for four days now ever since we moved here. I really hope she is going to be alright any advice would be very helpful.

  She may have a mild case of stasis. Could you give her some baby gas drops(simethecone)? If she is in stasis, it should help, and if she is not, it wont hurt her.
  If this doesn’t clear up in a day or so or if she stops eating or pooping completely, go to a vet. Your bunny is probably upset because of the move and the absence of you friend’s bunnies that she probably somewhat “bonded” to.
  Also, are you planning on getting her spayed? The aggressiveness that you mentioned is probably a hormone-driven behavior. Not to mention that unfixed females have an 80% chance of developing ovarian cancer by age 2.
  Just wondering, what type of woodchips do you use? Pine and cedar are harmful because of the oils in them. Aspen is really the only save wood chip bedding. bunnies usually don’t even need bedding on the bottom of the cage, you can put it just in the litter box. She also may prefer a water bowl over a bottle, it is a more natural way for bunnies to drink.

  What about the other bunnies? Any boys in the mix? She isn’t too young to be pregnant. That could explain the behavior change too.

  If she isn’t pregnant, maybe your bun liked having company. When I was little, One of our dogs acted very distant and stopped eating because we got rid of our other dog. Perhaps another bun to keep her company.

  Yes, I can’t help but wonder if your bun was attached? I hope this isn’t off track, but…. my bun was bought into a home with 3 dogs. After a few weeks of bonding, when we walked our dogs to bed in the garage Henry would follow and I honestly believe he would of slept in the garage happily with them, dopey bunny – ha ha ha! Now that he has learnt he has his bed – they theirs, in the morning when we let Henry out (first, cause it’s on the way to the garage) he follows us down to let the dogs out, as if to say ‘where’s my gang’? ha hah. Maybe another bunny would be the way to go????

  AndHenry may be right, she may want company, but do not get another bunny until your current one is spayed + one month. The other rabbit also must be fixed.
