I have two Holland lops. One 5 month girl, Flower, and one four month boy, Bear. Their cages have always been in the same room and (as bear was unneutered and I was unsure if it were okay) they never have not been behind bars when it comes to them being close. I will let one bun out at a time and occasionally it will go near the bunny that is in it’s cage. They do their fair share of sniffing eachother. However, I recently made a nic cage in hopes of bonding them to live together. It is a good sized cage and I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out. I decided to put flower in it since she is the bigger bun. I also just recently got bear neutered. (Exactly a week ago). I was told to give him plenty of rest and closely watch him. The other day I let him out to play. He seemed to be more interested in flower now and he seemed determined to get into her cage. From the looks of it he was grooming her. I think if he were trying to bite she would have hopped into.her box in the corner of her cage. Alright, so finally my question is.. (keep in mind that I plan on getting her spayed at the end of November) can I try letting them together or will she try being territorial. (Also keep in mind that Im not just going to put him in her cage but perhaps a neutral area for short times and increase it as they progress.)
