Hello I have three bunnies. Cosmo Kramer a male thats almost 5 months, Rosie a 4 month old female, and Leonidas (Leo) a 3 month old male. All three have not been fixed yet. Leo and Rosie are kind of friends when they want to be and have been together for almost 2 months. They live next to each other in separate cages. Kramer is the newest surprise  addition to the family. He seems to be extremely aggressive towards Leo but less towards Rosie, which I thought would happen. Rosie and Leo used to kind of snuggle and clean each other but have started to hump each other every chance they get. I thought it was for dominance but it seems Rosie is in heat.

Rosie is a mellow bunny who loves to run up and down stairs, be snuggled, and roll over. Leo is like the kid brother he likes to case rosie around and be in Rosie’s business and loves to explore. Kramer is new we havent even had him 24 hours yet. He is a rescue who we took in and will be a happy member of the family.

I have a few questions and help would be awesome.

        1. Should I get all of them fixed at the same time.

                  * Rosie is in heat and Kramer has matured enough for fixing. Leo is still too young. Should I wait and fix them all at once or fix them when they are ready?

        2. When fixed and healed how should I go about bonding? I know its in pairs but should I do males first and then introduce the female or bond the male and female and introduce the other male? Or all three together?

        3. Leo and Rosie sleep in my room next to each other in their cages. Should I do the same with Kramer or keep him separated till he is fixed because of his aggressiveness?

I dont want to put too much stress on them Leo has become very thumpy since Kramer has arrived. Leo got a little nip on the nose from Kramer but nothing too major he took it like a champ ran away and came back to investigate the new big bunny in his old cage. LOL.  Rosie has a mellow attitude towards him like she does towards everything else.

They have a play room and hallway where they get at least 6 hours of exercise each day. One stays in the hallway and runs around while the other is in the playroom. This is gonna be a little more difficult having 3 bunnies and two play areas. LOL. Kramer since I have no room in my room yet stays in the playroom in his cage till I clear a place for him in my room.

My Fiance and I have a bunch of time for them and spoil the heck out of them. We also have a great bunny specialist vet and we would just like all the help we can get to have the happiest bunnies ever.

            Welcome to BB!
It’s’ recommended that all rabbits be spayed/neutered + 4-6 weeks for hormones to dissipate before bonding. I highly recommend checking out these articles:
            https://binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/tabid/53/CategoryID/9/PID/940/Default.aspx
            http://www.wheekwheekthump.com/2013/08/25/complete-beginners-guide-rabbit-bonding-everything-need-know/

I would also suggest checking out the bonding threads in this section. This will answer a lot of your questions and probably bring up more.

Thanks for the article link they are very helpful. Kramer is getting fixed next wednesday so hopefully he will mellow out a little, him and leo still have it out for each other. We have had Kramer for a full day now and he is less nippy and circles our feet. which is awesome. I wont be able to start bonding them till January because thats when Leo and Rosie will be able to be fixed.
