Bushfire season is upon us unfortunately. Feels like it has come early this year.

My thoughts and prayers with those affected in regions of New South Wales.

Thanks Anna. I’m in another State so all is well. Hope it remains that way!
I really really dislike when fire conditions are ripe though.

I hope so too! Prayers for all people and animals caught in the bushfires
Yeah it must be horrible, kinda glad I live in boring old England where a few inches of snow and gailforce winds are the biggest deal!

It’s pretty full on here! The sky is really red and smoky and you can smell smoke everywhere even in the CBD of Sydney. I live about 45 mins drive from the worst areas and we have burnt leaves blowing into our backyard all the time since it’s been so windy. There were two smaller bushfires in the suburbs either side of me last weekend so we’ve got all the animals sorted out for evacuation and a bunch of supplies packed in a box just in case. A bunch of people I know are out searching for an d looking after wildlife.

You’re right Jersey, it is early in the year for things to be this bad. We’ve got four days in the high 30s in a row this week and it’s only October. Summer is going to be a nightmare!
