Help. My 3 month old house rabbit Brando uses his litter tray in the back hall but thinks the couch is his toilet too! When I come home from work it is a right mess. When I am with him I can put him off the couch but he still isn’t getting the message. I can’t keep him in his cage when I’m out as he point blank refuses to go to the toilet in there which can’t be good for him and I like that he gets to run about all day as he doesn’t chew things.

Hi! You might need to block off access to the couch while you are away. Some people have used NIC grids to do this and have had success. Also, when he is neutered this behavior might settle down but generally anything that is soft and smells like you your bun will want to mark and claim as his own. Have you tried more than one litter tray? If you are giving him so much space to roam and he is not yet neutered, It might help with training if he has a tray in the same room as the couch. I would still block access though.
