  In July, we lost our little bun, Zelda https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tab…fault.aspx leaving our baby, Link without a pal, then, in August, we saw fit to get the baby a companion, Navi https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tab…fault.aspx
  
  Also, in between Zelda’s passing and Navi coming into our lives, I also had a mini-stroke… at 28… this sort of stuff isn’t supposed to happen at my age…
  Anyway…
  
  Now, last night, we noticed a substantial lump on the nape of Navi’s neck and we rushed her to the vets, she stayed in over night to have it removed first thing today…
  
  We were only at the vets last night with Link as he seemed off his food, then one of the cats a couple of days before that as he was vomiting… A lot!
  
  I also have three ferrets, two of which, Shovel and Shush are getting along in their years, Shush is medicated for acute adrenal disease and heart failure, and Shovel is suspected of having adrenal disease so is on the same meds, but her heart condition is much, much worse than her sisters…
  
  This lump that Navi has just had removed, although it’s very different to Zelda’s condition, it is very reminiscent of it… So, needless to say, I’m somewhat stressed about the whole situation…

  That’s a lot of stress, and it does seem to all happen at once. Sarita had many bunnies, and starting one year they got sick one after another. Sometimes it’s because they are similar in age, sometimes they catch something that goes around to more than one, and sometimes they get stressed when their routines are disturbed and things aren’t as tranquil in the house as they’re used to, so they go off their feed, then get sick, then want attention, etc.
  
  You have a lot of little guys to care for right now at an age when you suddenly need to care for yourself. Let others help you out if anyone is available, like taking one or two to the vet for you, helping with chores like feeding or litter, and generally try to get yourself cared for first, then the really sick pets, then the others. It’s a whole lifestyle adjustment for you that will take time. You need to enlist the help that’s available to lighten your load.
  
  But remember that animals are pretty adaptable. Once you need to change a routine with them, even if it may seem a bit more confining so you can handle it, with the right love and attention they should be able to adjust well. They sense when you are not OK, and often are patient with you and even offer comfort. Let them make you feel better by petting and holding them, and it will be good for them too.

  Life is weird how we can get dumped with stressful things all in once.
  But good fortune can happen threefold too, so hang in there.
  
  I’m really hopefully your stress is starting to lessen now that Navi has been seen to. How did she go?

  Just thought I would update on Navi’s recovery… She’s doing well. She has bounced back from the anaesthetic really well… No gut problems, she’s not off her food, all in all, she’s almost acting as though nothing has happened, although she seems a little stressed that she has to be kept separate from Link for now, but her hospital cage is right next to Link, so they kind of lie together.

  A typically excellent job considering the size of the tissue he had to remove. It wasn’t a cyst or an abscess, he isn’t sure what it is, so it’s been sent away for a biopsy…
  
  I tell you, thank ‘whoever’ for pet insurance… £471.55 just like that…
  Obviously, if we didn’t have the insurance, we wouldn’t have batted an eye at the cost, it’s just all part of keeping them happy and healthy…
  
  Oh, and just to clarify, in the image, there is a bowl of pellets, normally she wouldn’t get more than a couple of pellets as a treat, but we were obviously encouraging her to eat anything and everything after the vets.

  Well, the results are back from the lump biopsy, apparently it’s basically a big lump of traumatised fat tissue.
  The vet thinks it’s just a reaction to her inoculations. He had read up on it, and it’s pretty rare, so much so that in his 12years, he hadn’t seen it previously, and his business partner hadn’t seen it before, either…
  
  But, nobody is worried about it, we just have to find somewhere else to give her any injections from now on, and everyone is confident she’ll make a full, uncomplicated recovery.
  
  So, a little bit of good news for once!

  Glad to hear everything is well and it turned out to be not as bad as you thought! I’ve had a shock before and it’s a nasty feel ze stomach
