my bunny has been molting for about a month, but it seems like the fur on his belly and lower back just will not come out. ive been brushing and gently pulling but nothing comes out. today i cleaned his whole cage and litter box and then i checked on him and there was pearl string poo in his litter box. it was very shiny. like it was wet or something, but circular. it didnt look like wet diareha. i bought some pineapple juice and a syringe today should i feed some to him ? how much ? ive never seen him have pearl string poo and i dont want him to get sick or anything, i think its because hes pulling out his fur and eating it ?

also it looks like there are small clumps of shiny circle poo stuck together. like its just a clump of poo ?

Rabbits are going to ingest hair when they groom themselves. You can give him a little pineapple or papaya, but there is not proof either way that it really helps. It can’t hurt though, unless of course you are over loading him on sugar. The best thing to do would be to encourage him to eat more hay. That is the best way to keep the fur moving through.

When my rabbit started his first big shed I noticed those types of poos you mentioned. I bought Oxbow papaya fruit plus tablets and they do seem to help with that. I give him one once a day as a treat. You could also try that. Definitely eating lots of hay, drinking water and brushing would help.
