When I got home I expected to see Mako binkying her welcome but she was nowhere to be found.. I looked all over the kitchen and didn't see her so I started looking around the house and I was starting to panic when I realized that she had gotten into the playpen in the kitchen and had no way out! It's a Grrreat Wall and it's basically a big roll of plastic. I had it stored under the kitchen table. Best I can figure is that she squeezed herself into it from the open end and couldn't figure out how to get back out. Needless to say that is not stored in the kitchen now!

It’s awful when they scare you like that. I have known of bunnies that disappeared, only to be found inside a couch or large chair where they’d chewed a hole in the fabric covering the bottom, climbed up and played inside standing on the rest of the fabric. Someone discovered her bunny when she got a nose bump while sitting on her couch. So dangerous, but they manage the weirdest places to get into.

Yep… It’s certainly a heart starter when they go walk about… I thought Starsky had gotten out the cat flap the other morning… Finally he made some noise and I found him cleaning cobwebs out from behind the spa…… A couple of times Pascal has made it out of his play pen and decided he fancies the spot just behind the couch and more recently the Long Eared Pygmy Wildebeest have managed to get into all sorts of places including 5 feet up on top of the bungalow where the craisins and pellets are kept. Blossom decided to swan dive off the top and landed on the ramp… I was so terrified she had hurt herself but she was fine thankfully. (I needed valium and half a bottle of wine afterwards though)

oh god. my little one snuck upstairs when I was at work one day (wasn’t allowed up there at the time) and managed to wedge herself between the wall and some cupboards (totally blocked off) and then couldn’t get out. Gave myself a heart attack trying to find her. Horrible feeling. I’ve caught her inside the couch before too… I rarely sit on it though– broken pos I haven’t bothered to throw out yet– but still… scared me to death.

This sounds terrifying! I hope this doesn’t happen to me one day, but I suppose it will! haha

Willow has gotten inside our couch too! There’s a flap in the back and she’s managed to squeeze her way in. She can’t turn around but she taught herself how to back up out of it. All I need to do is say “Willow, you know better!” and she backs up and gets out. It’s adorable.

But yes, I’ve had a scare before too! I came home and couldn’t find her in any of her usual places. I searched the whole house and didn’t see her. I looked under the couch (where she loves to hide) and didn’t see her. Then she came hopping around the side like she had been there the whole time, just in my blind spot. Silly bunny was as happy as could be.
