I am new to bunnies, and have had my cuddly little black lop for 2 weeks now. She’s about 9-10 weeks old and is litter trained. She was extremely easy to litter train, as all I did was place her litter box where she tends to poop, and viola! She was using it instantly. She lives in a hutch outside, but every day she has a few hours of inside time, where she can play and run in our sunroom. She loves to jump all over the couch and it is the only place she will pee and poop besides her litter box. As soon as I take her into the sunroom, I put her down and she goes straight into her litter box and does her business. She will run around for hours on the ground and not poop once in any area other than her box. BUT when she goes on the couch, she will pee and poop! It’s very frustrating as she loves to be on the couch and run and jump on it with me, but I don’t want to have to clean up every time. If she goes on the couch, I will take her poops to her litter box and also place her in there to hopefully show her that that is where she is to go only! I think there may be a behavioural issue as to why she will ONLY pee on the couch as opposed to around the room! Please help! How do I teach her that the couch is not also a litter box!
