  I really need some help with clipping Clover’s nails! Me and my brother tried but she kept on struggling and bit my brother two times, hard. It didn’t bleed but he said it really hurt. How should I do this? If Clover keeps on biting whenever she doesn’t like something we won’t be able to give her a bath either.

  Oh and some additional info: We sat her up instead of flipping her on her back
  We had her for a bit more than two weeks.
  She is 10 weeks old
  
  Should I wait a few more weeks?Should I flip her onto her back to cut her nails?

  At 10 weeks does she NEED her nails clipped? And bunnies don’t need to be bathed, either – they’re like cats that way.
  
  Sounds like all you’ve done so far is to make her fear you picking her up.
  
  Try having her sit in your lap (while you sit on the floor.) Lure her with treats and slowly and gently pet her. Do this for many days to rebuild trust. Then AFTER she feels comfortable being petted on your lap, pat her feet, massage her toes, just get her used to having her feet touched. Practice picking up a foot and see if she’ll let you just hold it for a few seconds. Keep this up and try clipping one nail a day. After a while this should desensitize her. But it WILL take weeks and you must have patience.. AND LOTS OF TREATS!
  The other thing is to just put her into a carrier and take her to the vet or pet store where they can be ” the bad guy” and clip them for you. They have so much practice it usually takes them less than 3 minutes! Then take her home and spoil her.

  The cost varies depending upon vet vs. pet store and what country you’re in. Some vets will do it for $10, my pet store does it for $5. Some places charge $20 – $40. Call around. Visit local bunny forums and ask where they recommend.

  At 10 weeks I’m pretty confident that your bunnies nails won’t need clipping yet. I took my 2 into te vets te first time so they could show me how to clip the nails (they charged me £10) it was very stressful for the bunnies and I found tht when me and my sister tried it on our own it was easier and they didn’t mind at all.
  If your rabbit is nervous sit it on your lap and clip dried pasta next to it so that it gets used to the noise I’ve heard of members using this technique to help with future clippings
