Today, my five month old bunny Truffle died unexpectedly. His front legs suddenly gave out and he died twenty minutes later. I have no idea what happened. He was going to be neutered in two weeks and a month after that, introduced to my Holland Lop, Basil (who I actually got as a friend for Truffle).
He was my first bunny. Only a few days after I got him, I knew I had to get another for him to have a friend. I didn’t know bunnies could have so much personality. Truffle would greet me every time I came in the room. He’d run around the apartment for hours at a time, binkying all over the place. He loved headrubs and would beg for them incessantly. I could probably pet him for hours straight if I wanted to. He knew the refrigerator meant lettuce, so watch out if you open the fridge door around him! Kale was his favorite vegetable and banana was easily his favorite thing in the whole world. He was so incredibly full of personality and I’m absolutely heartbroken that he left this world so early.
He was loved very much for the two and a half months that I owned him. I wish it could have been much longer.
