So the other nights had a dream about my bunny and I had saltine crackers in his cage, no idea why but I was wondering if they could actually have a PIECE of these as a treat every once in awhile? I’m thinking he can’t because of the salt but I googled it and some places have said they could so I’m not sure

I think any processed foods should be avoided. Their tummies aren’t really able to deal with it.
A lot of people do allow their bunnies cracker treats but I personally prefer not to. That said, atleast if your bun manages to seagull one from you at any time in the future you know that it won’t do irrepairable damage.

I agree with Roberta. I don’t think crackers would be detrimental in small occasional amounts. I do think there are better healthier options like fruit ( maximum of 1 teaspoon per 2lbs body weight a day).

Its better to give healthy treats, such as fruit. And buns love it. Saltines would be empty calories/carbs with added salt.

Merlin was crazy about low sodium Wheat Thins. -.-;; He would dig them out of the trash if I wasn’t careful. I couldn’t even eat them on the same floor of the house as him because he would start thumping as soon as he smelt them. Once in a blue moon I would let him have a small piece like the size of my pinky nail, but I avoided letting him have them more than that. And those situations were usually if another person unknowingly brought some downstairs as a snack and he pulled a hissy fit lol.

A small piece probably wouldn’t do much harm, but there are better more healthy treats like what others have suggested.
