Hi, your 1st pic shows enough for me to recognize it right away. It’s fairly common, and Sammy got them a lot when she was younger. They are a kind of mucus, and it is annoying to the bunny but not serious or dangerous. If it’s on the edge like that and you can touch your finger to the eye to slide it out (have trimmed fingernails first) then it will help Beans. He will probably hold still for you. My bunnies always appreciated my help in cleaning the boogies out of the corners of their eyes. Sometimes she got those large ones that floated in the middle, and I could see her struggle with it. I almost always got her cooperation in gently moving it to a corner or edge of her eye to finally pluck it out. Otherwise, you can wait a while and see if Beans works it out himself by rubbing his eyes with his paws. You don’t want to scratch Bean’s eye yourself, so if he resists you let him go. After a try or two, Sammy seemed to know what I was doing and let me. You can also try to get it with a soft tissue, but not a pointy corner of the tissue.

Yes my bunnies get this too, does Beans have a friend? Since I got another bunny I don’t have to clean Ringo’s eyes as much as they seem to sort each other out in this department! I always think it’s cute that they will hold still and patiently wait while I get the gunk out of the corners of their eyes

It’s very, very common in puppies and young dogs, maybe its sth to do with the not yet fully “grown” tear-ducts or some other reason for inadequate flow of tears due to the animal not yet being fully grown. It stops when the dog is about a year old.

With puppies you do as RabbitPam says too, taking great care not to scratch the cornea or the eye-lids. There are tear-replacement fluids for humans that are safe for dogs, I don’t know if they’re rabbit-safe though (although a lot of such stuff is, sadly enough, tested on rabbits before they’re approved for human use.). Maybe so else here knows.

I use Visine True Tears on my guinea pigs, my guess would be they would also be safe for rabbits.

They can get boogies from eye-infections, but then there would be some amount of redness, and/or at least some slight swelling of the eyelid etc. In your pics there’s nothing to indicate that.

Stormy used to get eye boogers like that a lot. Sometimes they would have strands of hair in them. I would wet a Q-tip and gently get them out.

Felix gets kinda a crusty version of that. I get them too, eye crusties is what we call them. I just gently remove them and everything is fine.
