So as some of you know I brought home a new bunny, “Freddy.”  He does not know his name so I am thinking of changing it.  I have watched his personality so far and he is so gentle and loving.  He is also pretty curious.  He was a rescued bun from a hoarding case.  Lived most of his life on a wire bottom cage and has recovering sore hocks.  He got little interaction with humans so is a little shy but that’s okay.  He will blossom with lots of love.  =)

I am a huge Disney fan but honestly I don’t see any Disney characters fitting to him.

If you have any names in mind I would love to hear them!  =)

This site has loads of names that are associated with “white”, since he’s a pretty bright white. =)

            http://babynames.merschat.com/

You have to type “white” in the meaning box and you can select “boy” for gender. The list is several pages long.

Basil! Like ‘Basil Stag Hare’ from Redwall! He was a master of camouflage which would be humorously opposite for a white rabbit.

              Wikipedia says:
Basil was a member of the Fur and Foot Fighters’ and the Forty-Seventh Hare Border Rangers. Due to his admiration for stags, he took his second name for the creature. Basil is an expert in camouflage, and is well known for his appetite, as is the case with most hares.

Or it could be Basil From The Great Mouse Detective:
              Meaning: King

              More Disney Names:

              Bernard (The Rescuers)
              Meaning: Brave bear

              Oliver (Oliver & Company)
              Meaning: an olive (LOL)

              Phoebus (Hunchback of Notre Dame)
              Meaning: Bright, Radient

Haha, I had a Disney movie marathon with my younger brother (6 years old)  recently.

I can’t get over how cute he is. His face is a little less flat than Bindi’s in this pic. I will try to think up some names, but I think “Freddy” is cute.

Hard to tell by the pics. Is he a true REW or are his eyes a pinkish with blue tinge like Bindi?

Not Disney, but if you held his ears back he’d look like manga character Chibisuke.

                  Old Disney: Oswald (Rabbit)
Classic Disney: Huey, Dewey or Louie
Lesser known Disney: Mheetu, Nala’s younger brother (Lion King)
                  Then you’d have Marley & Mheetu. :p

He also reminds me of a lamb or goat:
Djali the goat from Hunchback of Notre Dame.
                  Marley and Djali.

I like the name “Freddy” too. I just think I could find something more fitting. He came in with another bun and they named them Fred and Barney from the Flinstones. They were not bonded bunnies, don’t worry. =)

I am going to have to really look into something fitting for him. Been thinking a lot about it. lol

He is the SWEETEST bun! He will literally just sit or lay there and let me pet him for as long as I want. Too sweet! No wonder he and Marley get along so well! lol I feel bad for the situation he came out of but I am glad he is here now and safe.

Yesterday I caught him lying on the grass and eating it. It was so funny. None of my other buns lay down and eat. It kind of worries me in a way because maybe he can’t stand for that long? He probably has weak muscles from being cooped up all his life. I will be adopting him soon so hopefully I will be able to take him for a vet check up soon! =) I am wondering if I should get blood done on him or just a regular check up? I have never tested any of my bunnies blood before but I just want to make sure everythng is okay with him.

                    Anyway sorry, went off topic.

I don’t think he is a true REW. He seems to have eyes like Valentine…So yeah blueish tinge. I haven’t really looked too much at his eyes since his head is always down. He doesn’t move about much, but I think when he gets more comfortable he will.

Started out in a bad situation in a cage and now becoming part of a loving family…. Sounds like Stitch to me!
Curious, gentle and loving…. Could also be Donald. Especially how Donald is the the Three Cabelleros.
Have you noticed any changes in the weather based on his moods or missing sandwiches? He also looks like a Pudge to me. (2 Lilo and Stitch suggestions and that is actually one of my least favorite Disney movies lol.)

Not quite Disney but kinda close: Are his eyes actually pink or red? Because then he could be Red Buttons. Red Buttons played the White Rabbit in the 1985 live action Alice in Wonderland. (Also neat fact, the actress playing Alice was the little girl in Oliver and Company.) Anyone who hasn’t seen this gem needs to! It was amazing for its time and I don’t think I am just saying this because I grew up with it! Great cast as well: Ernest Borgnine as the Lion, Beau Bridges as the Unicorn, Sally Struthers as the Lily, Sammy Davis Junior as the Catepillar, Carol Channing as the White Queen… It is a musical and most of the songs are amazing!

I just came up with a name…. “Lamb Chop!” hahaha He reminds me of Lamb Chop….Even though Lamb Chop was a girl puppet….I think he looks like the puppet…haha

I don’t think I would name him Stitch because Stitch was a wild boy and Freddy is like the opposite of that haha

Pudge is a good name…since he does feel a little on the heavier side. I know that the name you are thinking of isn’t really meant for “Pudgeyness.” but haha Freddy does have pudge.

I like Lamb Chop though. Could it be a universal name ? I don’t want people to confuse him as a girl….haha

Sounds a little girlish, but it could be unisex. Like Whitney and Beverly sound girlish to me, but both can be boy names.

Yeah I don’t think I will name him Lamb Chop. =P Maybe I will just keep his name as is?

It was also because of pudgeyness.
