Is it ok to have liitle dogs as companions for my bunny as to getting another bunny?

  Hey, Done some reading up and most say my bunny should have another bunny companion. My bunny – Henry seems happy enough to be friends with my existing dogs aged 7- 13. do you think this is ok?

  Bunnies can be friends with dogs. There are tons of members who have both and everyone gets along. That being said, I wouldn’t leave them together unsupervised.

  I agree with LBJ NEVER leave the bunny and dogs alone together, dogs have prey drive and you never know when it’s going to kick in.

  I think it depends on how much you are home to let Henry socialize with the dogs (my dog and bunny are best friends). If Henry is alone most of the day because you are at work or some other commitment, I would suggest getting another bunny. I’m sure your dogs wouldn’t mind having another friend either.

  It’s fine for your bunny to be buddies with a dog. I wouldn’t even leave them alone unsupervised, but supervised playtime is fine if they get along.
  
  A dog won’t ever be the same kind of companion as another bunny though, because they aren’t the same species and don’t speak the same “language”, so to speak. Bunnies don’t *need* a bunny friend. They enjoy it, and a few special buns do better with another bunny around, but in general they will be fine either way.
