Ok! I want to move around everything in my room to make more room for Mustachio but i have no clue what to do! I’m drawing a blank…
My bedroom is weird looking. You come down a hall way and see my door frame with a little gate I built, you open the gate and step down two carpeted stairs and hit my chest board linoleum floor. and the room opens up.
My bedroom is (if you take out the part where you walk in)
6’ X 8′ (has two windows side by side in the center X 9′ (one window in the center) X 10′
The only things I need to keep in here are:
My TV is curently sitting on the stand for my 55gal aquarium (Which is in the hall way till I find a filter and put my fish in it.). I would like to put the TV on a dresser I have in the hall way. It is a little smaller but much beter for storage.
My bed is agianst the 6′ wall, My futon is currently in the middle of the floor but usually sits agianst the 8′ wall and makes a realy cool L shape with my bed, Mustachio’s “room” is agianst the 9′ wall on the right side of the window and the Xerxes’s is usualy on the left but it’s on the porch drying (I cleaned it this morning). My TV is agianst the 10′ wall in the center with the fish tank on the left and my statue & pocket knife collection on a skinny book shelf on the right.
I have NO idea how to move my stuff around to get more space I can’t put anything big like my futon or bed agianst the 8′ wall anymore because my airvent is there and it is (finally!) working again. If you guys need a picture to help you understand I will take some. Just please be nice I know its a reck..
Is Xerxes a rabbit too? If not then if you rabbit proof you could make Mustachio free roam in your room.
Otherwise it’s very hard to envision your room – you could do a room layout – maybe see if there are some on-line websites that can help with that and move your furniture around that way – that’s what interior designers use to help set up a room.
Xerxes is my dog. He loves Mustachio… Mustachio isn’t scared of him or my cat. He follows my cat around. My dog keeps trying to lick him and Mustachio either runs off or bites him.. >.>’ poor dog.. he’s always getting beat up by the other critters
I’m having a hard time picturing your room too.
Can you do even like a rough sketch on paper maybe? It seems like an oddly shaped room.
Yeah! i have a zillion. (I love to design.. anything) I will get right on it
Hey, Move? How do you handle having so many bunnies at once? It seems very over whelming. I love Mustachio and I want to get him a friend ASAP but I’m so scared of getting over whelmed and not giving one of them enough attention.

Haha, they’re all just a part of my day and it doesn’t seem like a lot of work anymore. I want to have them all bonded eventually. Right now I have a trio (Monty, Dexter, and Penny) and two singles (Inara and Helo). My whole house is bunny proofed and we let Helo and Inara out separately during the day and in the evening the trio comes out. They all get their loves, smooches, and hang out time. I have a bedroom dedicated to the bunnies and if I didn’t have the extra room housing all of them properly would have been impossible (and I wouldn’t have 5).
Bunnies don’t need bunny friends if they have lots of human love so there’s no harm in taking your time and figuring out whether or not another bunny is for you.
I just worry about him when I’m working. I work at home but it’s outside with my grandpa and Mustachio has to stay in his cage. I know he’s lonely he looks so sad when I’m watching him and he doesn’t know I’m home yet.
Lol I got my boyfriend to promise me when we move we will get a two bedroom and that Mustachio will have his own room. I’m trying to talk him into finding a bunny of his own.
That’ll be interesting. He’s kinda a tough guy. But I think I’m getting to him. But, I don’t know how long that will be. We were going to move out next month but we ran into some financial trouble.
Ok, back on topic. Sorry, ADD moment. How can I try and help out Mustachio till then? I’m working on my room as fast as I can but it’s taking a little while. I’m having to build things to keep him out of trouble. Like getting under my futon and behind my TV. What can I do to keep him from getting so lonely. He’s not very into toys. He likes to cuddle, pose for cameras, go shopping, and watch girly shows. (Sometimes I wander if he is really a guy.) I can try and keep my TV on for him?
Here is a rough guess of the measurments of my bedrom walls. I was going to measure them just to be sure but the tape measure is MIA… >.>’ This is my best guess from memory,

Well there’s not a ton of room if you start adding in your necessities like bed and stuff – I think you should do a heavy duty rabbit proof and just allow him to roam free in the room if he’s good with his litter box and that’s the only room he’s in. Just baby gate the entrance.
Sadly it is. and I was thinking about doing that. I don’t really use the Futon. (I got it because my friend’s needed a place to sit when we used to hang out at my house. But they have all moved and I never got rid of it.) So I was thinking about bunny proofing and putting some pillows and a blanket on it and letting Mustachio lounge there so I can, finally, get my bed back. Would he be okay playing around in there while I’m working though? I just worry… alot..
To be honest I was hoping to bunny proof the apartment me n’ my boyfriend want to move to so Mustachio and his friend (when ever we find the right one) can have free run of the place. (Or at least most of it.) Even when we’re not home. It just seems kinda mean to let two pets have free run but not all of them. My cat and dog are nice to him. and I was planing on giving him a type of “safe place” he can go if he wants that the other pets can’t. (Still working on how to do that though)
Maybe get rid of the footon? Or get rid of the bed and use the footon as a bed, when your friends come over make it into a couch….Or you could sell the footon and buy a cute little couch or somthing.
Im making my bed into a loft bed so my bunnnies have more room
( a loft bed is a bunk bed without a bed underneath.) You could put your footon underneath or get rid of the footon and have TONS of space
I tried :/ My boyfriend wants to keep it and use it for a couch in our living room. >.>’ I tried to make him take it to his place since he wants to keep it but his land lord wouldn’t let him because he lives in a dorm room on campus. I can try and see if I can build a loft though? I don’t even have a bed frame. My bed sits on the floor. hmm… (I design and build furniture and pet cages when I have spare time.)
And I forgot to add I just moved Mustachio to a big-ish dog crate I snagged from my grandpa. I took the bottom out so he is sitting right on the floor, moved it to the other side of the room so he is right beside my bed. He looks happy. Also it’s a lot cooler then where he was. My floor is concrete and it stays very cool plus he’s right beside my (weak) A/C vent. He is also facing the TV so he can watch it better. And I know the hard floor is bad for his feet so I got a new pillow this morning and gave him my old one and an old sheet. He loves them. So when I’m gone he can cuddle to them
he actual jumped in my lap for the first time today. he usually just sits beside me. He also ate while sitting in my lap too.
that’s a good thing right? I’ve noticed a lot of things bunnies do that would look sweet to people are actually mean or signs of they want to frisky for them. (please tell me my bunny isn’t making moves on me… o.o…)
If you’re moving next month, I wouldn’t worry too much about making a bunch of changes. It’s only temporary anyways.
