  So Penny drinks her water out of a ceramic cup and I think that might’ve been the cause of this. Whenever she drinks, she tilts her right side of her face drinking from only the edge for some reason. Then the right side of her face gets wet. She’ll be grooming and eating with half her face wet and when it’s almost dry, she gets thirsty and drinks water making it wet again. Today she came up to me and I noticed that the wet patch was starting to smell bad and decided I was going to wash it. I was checking out the wet fur and saw something. After taking a closer look, it was her skin..I don’t know if she pulled off her fur while grooming because of the wetness but it scared me a bit. There was barely any fur at all. Just a patch of skin. ;/ Tomorrow I’m going to go out and buy a water bottle for her and wash up her face to rid the smell(hopeful it won’t hurt her?) Just wondering if I should take her to the vet’s? Pictures below.

  You may find that the water bottle drips so be prepared if more of her face and head get wet. Otherwise, it will probably solve the problem. She may be bracing herself to drink, so the water bottle might help that as well. Worth a try.
  
  I’d brush or comb her now to see if she’s at the start of a shed. The can shed up to 4x/year, so if she is beginning to, it’s not unusual to see a bit of skin in thinly furred areas, especially if she washes herself regularly. Sometimes a bunny will overgroom a spot, or another bunny, in which case it can lead to a problem. If it’s wet because she is drooling out her mouth rather than getting wet from the dish, it could be a sign of a tooth problem. In that case, she needs to see a vet.
  
  But I’d check out the hanging bottle and shedding possibilities first. Keep an eye out for redness or swelling which would indicate a medical reason as well. If so, see a vet.
