Hi Roberta,
Thank you so much for your reply and experience. Even though we did a lot of reading before getting the bunnies, it seems now that we have them there is so much more to learn! My daughter held the bunnies tonight as we checked their genders and were able to easily confirm we have a male and female. I would move the hutch outside until we have them altered, but we live in the middle of 20 acres of woods and have many predators that I’m sure would at least attempt, if not succeed to get at them. so I’m not to sure what we can do about the spraying and odor until they are old enough to be altered. I guess we just keep them separated and count down the days, (and pray we don’t get little furry gifts like you did). I had read that male bunnies could still reproduce a week after they had been neutered but not a whole month!!! That explains how the two bunnies we now have came to be. The woman we bought them from said that when they got their male they were told he had been neutered, so they had allowed him to be in with their female. She also ended up with 7 furry gifts (2 of which are now ours).
I’ve read things on Binky Bunny before becoming a member. It’s really been helpful. I’m so glad I joined.
By the way, your bunny pictures are adorable!
