Hello!
I haven’t been on Binkybunny for such a long time! I’m loving all the picture threads
. I have asked sooo many questions on fur and shedding habits of rabbits and I still have more! My bunny, Buffy is a small Lion head rabbit and she is really fluffy around her bum area and near her neck. She usually sheds around her rear area, but for the past 2 weeks she’s been shedding eeveeeeeeeeeryyyyywhereeeeeeeee!!! It’s insane how much fur I pick out of her… I can’t even pet her. When i clean her cage, there’s small piles of fur in the corners of the cage and it’s scaring me a little. I don’t want her to swallow all that fur and get fur stuck in her digestive tract. I do groom her, and try to at least once a day, at most 2 times a day. I use those cat groomer brushes:

^^^ That isn’t the exact brush ( the color is different) but that is the kind of brush I use and it gets the fur out pretty well! After I groom her with that brush, I comb her with a human comb, not meant for rabbits, is that okay? It just makes the fur a little neat, doesn’t get that much fur out, maybe like 3 or fur pieces of fur. And also, where do papya tablets get sold? I live in Canada, Montreal and I don’t think there’s a pet store where they sell them. My vet supplies them but they are hella expensive! I’m going to Nyc in 3 weeks so are there any stores there?
My questions are :
1. how long should a grooming session take? Should I keep on grooming her? and it’s weird cause after I’m done her grooming her with the brush, i pet her, AND A TON OF FUR COMES OUT, so I get paranoid and I keep on her brushing her and I don’t know when to stop!
2 What can I do to stop the fur being so harsh and getting stuck in her digestive tract ( besides the papaya tablets).
3. It is suppper hot here!!! Is that what’s causing the non-stop fur?
4. She’s pretty tiny, and shes 1 year… am i feeding her too little and is that why there’s sooo much fur?
THANKK YOU SO MUCH !
and if i have more questions, i’ll ask em! you guys are such a good help!
