Remi was neutered today and the vet said all went well. He started eating pellets immediately upon waking. Since being home, however, he hasn’t shown any interest in eating or drinking. He’s pretty mellow, which I assume is due to the anesthesia. Is this a typical reaction? When should I become alarmed if he doesn’t perk up by then?

It’s very good he ate something already. It usually takes a day before they’re really interested in food, especially for the female rabbits. The boy buns come around a little faster. If he was given a dose of pain med before coming home, that may effect his appetite a little. So far though, I don’t think there is cause to worry just yet. (((Healing vibes!)))
