So I’ve noticed my bun, Lambda, is usually very neat. He’ll leave a stray poop or two every once in a while in his cage, but otherwise it stays clean. Recently, though, he’s been throwing random fits. I tried to change his HUGE litter box to one more appropriate for his size (he could still lay down in it), and at first he seemed OK with the change, but the next morning there were poops and pellets and hay everywhere! And I mean EVERYWHERE. I gave him back his old litterbox and he went back to normal. This weekend I went home for my sister’s highschool graduation and had one of my flatmates watch him, and apparently he’s been throwing fits all weekend! There was poop everywhere and even pee puddles, which is very unlike him.
Anyway, I wanted to get some opinions on it. Do you think it’s more likely his personality, a hormonal thing, or something to be concerned about? He’s a ~4 month old holland lop that hasn’t been neutered yet, but I have an appointment to see the vet July 3rd.
