I FINALLY found a rabbit savy vet(:

And it’s only about 40 minuites away!! So Zelda now has an appointment next month to be spayed. They said they charge $125 for females and $90 for males and don’t have to keep them overnight. Thank goodness! Is there anything else I need to have done for Zelda while we are there? And are there any specific things I should do for her before and after the appointment? Anything I should bring with her?

I probably posted this in the wrong spot, sorry! Didn’t originally mean for it to be a question.

I’m glad you found a good vet. That’s a pretty good price for spay/neuter.

I would just ask the vet to do a routine checkup while she is there since she’s never been before.

You don’t need to do anything before the appointment. You want her to eat as normal. After the appointment, she will be very groggy and probably unwilling to eat. That’s normal and it’s best to let her rest. Within 24 hours she should start eating and pooping. Make sure your vet sends some pain meds home with her (most do).

As for what to bring, if she has a favorite blanket or something, you could bring that. I bring my buns’ favorite blankets and Olivia’s bear when they have to stay at the vet. Just some comforts from home.
