We moved into a new house about half a year ago, and it has a fire. This isn’t your normal gas fire, it’s a fire that you add wood to and keep burning. Now, it’s in the family room (kitchen, dining and living area) and Apollos cage is usually right next to it. Now, obviously when we lit the fire tonight (it’s getting chilly!) we moved him away across the other side of the room, but that burning wood smell is very noticeable.

My question is, would it be safer/better for him to move him to another room? I just want the best for him!

        Regards,

        Bunnygirl

If its one of the big combustion stoves with glass doors etc it is fully sealed. The initial smell fro lighting it after a long period unlit may linger for a few days but if it is working properly smoke should not be entering the room. Just make sure he is well away from it and that there is some ventilation in the room for all of you.
