One suggestion would be to have an external exterminator. If someone does outside the house/room, then bugs get killed before they can even enter your home. Also, they carry the stuff to the nests and it drops off that way. We have an exterminator do the house inside once a month, but not anywhere near the bunny’s habitat or adjacent walls and it’s enough.
I don’t know about fly strike. I wouldn’t worry unless it happens.
Well… I’m a bit of an environmentalist, and a vegan
I really do hate killing bugs except when they become a nusiance, and I’ll definitely call an exterminator if that happens. But I went to rinse out his food bowl last night and there were a few drowned bugs in the water left over from his veggies, and looking closer I think they were fruit flies. I set up a little homemade trap and might put some fly paper around the windows, see if that helps keep them away, but fruit flies don’t cause fly strike, right? I always work myself up over things and then they turn out to be nothing lol
Thanks for your reply Pam!
