Okay, so he’s not a tyrant, but it seems like it sometimes. In Feb I was given a bun by a dog rescue who received him from the lady who trained him for a movie (so essentially, he was tossed aside after being used in a movie), and he was neutered within a week of coming here. I had a foster bun with me at the time he came here, so he has never been the lone bun. He is incredibly people friendly with a slight foot fetish and is a happy binker who likes to do his zoomies daily. However, he has been a problem pooper and pee’er (that is so not a real word) since day one.
I have trained numerous buns and he is my first hard case. I think it’s territorial by where he is doing it (along the areas of other buns and in the corners of their areas) but have no idea what to do for him. He doesn’t seem to want a bun buddy, as he will box and bite them given the chance. Currently, I have 2 other foster buns who are perfect with their litter habits and do not participate when he tries to engage them. He will use his box in his area, but will poo along the perimeter occasionally.
I am meeting the end of my patience. We are moving to a new house at the end of the week and would really like to not have him ruin my new floors. My husband would like to not have the fosters since that is obviously a part of the behavior. Which I get, because, hey, he’s telling them what’s what. He has been vet checked and is totally fine. He is fine with our 2 small dogs but will box and chase the cat when she gets in his area.
Oy, I’m rambling, but I just don’t know what to do for him. If you guys have any ideas you’d like to toss my way, I’d appreciate it.
