  Hi everyone!
  
  i have been reading this forum for almost 3 months. love this forum, the information here helped me lots as a first time bunny mom.
  
  Alfie is a almost 6 months netherland dwarf. He has been with us for close to 2 months. he used to does lots of blinkies when we let him out of his playpen but recently we haven’t seen him does his mad dashing and crazy blinkies or running round our feets.
  
  he is eating (with lots of gusto!), pooping, drinking like he used to. is he unhappy or bored?
  
  we have been adjusting his diet as he is growing into an adult. his diet now consist of
  - 15g of APD timmy pellets mixed with a little of oxbow alfalfa pellets (still swtiching him over)
  - 2 serving of vegetables for a day
  (a serving of vegs include; 1 leaf of romaine, 1 leaf of bok choy and a small bunch of wheatgrass or a sprig of watercress)
  
  Is this too little or too much? We live in Singapore, so the weather is hot all year round. Have been swtiching on the aircondition for him when the weather is unbearable.
  
  Litter training him has been a little tough as he is not neutered but we are still trying.

  I would say he is bored or used to his place, I bet if you even try putting him in a new room (other than his normal place) and let him get used to it he’ll binky again, of course I mean just for playing not moving his cage/house
  I’m not sure if toys would get him to binky again, I’m still kind of new
  
  I don’t know how big are those leaves so I can’t judge
  Food amount depends on rabbit weight and age, you check out those in terms of cups or weight in here or in house rabbit society’s website
  
  You didn’t include hay, I hope you know unlimited hay supply is essential

  No binkies is not necessary a bad thing. So if that’s the only difference, I wouldn’t worry about it. He’s getting unlimited hay right? I think the vege amount is fine.
  
  I’d probably keep something cool for him too like a piece of tile for extra comfort. It’s not just hot there, it’s humid too right? Do you have a dehumidifier?

  He has unlimited timothy & oat wheat barley hay, occasionally some alfalfa hay as treats since there is still lots of them left. We have a tile for him in his pen, that’s his fave lazing spot. Unfortunately, we do not have a dehumidifier. Maybe we should invest in one.
  
  Just weigh him, he is 794g. he lost 20g since last week. Think its due to us reducing his pellets. He is constantly hungry, but i know we shouldn’t indulge. but when he begs and his cute face just melts our hearts.

  Very cute! Monitor the weight and make sure it doesn’t keep going down; also feed his body and make sure it’s not boney. As long as his poos are fine, I don’t think more veges would be a problem since he doesn’t look fat. Usually overfeeding pellets is the issue but I don’t know how much 15g is in pellets. Some buns need more pellets while other buns need less.
  
  High heat and high humidity is bad. Typically it’s said that rabbits have a hard time above 80F (26.66C) but that’s with lot humidity. With high humidity, they probably have a harder time with a lower temp. Did the binkies stop when the weather changed?

  Websites typically recommend one cup of vegetables per four pounds of rabbits. From what I know of Romaine a lea of that, a leaf of bok choy, and then a sprig of water cress per serving is very little. I normally give my rabbits (all healthy weights) almost a cup of spring mix, some parsely, snow peas, and one other type of vegetables each.

  Assuming we’re not talking about the inside small layers of romaine leaves, two pieces in itself are more than enough for a bun that’s less than 2lbs; if the serving are 1 to 1 with weight, it’d actually be considered overfeeding. Not that it’s an indicator of how much one should eat but full sized romaine leaves are bigger than the bun itself. More pieces would stuff the bun, if he’ll even eat it – mines will refuse as she regulates herself very very well, and reduce hay intake greatly. Even my piggy bun won’t eat more than 3 leaves. And that’s from buns that are extremely active.

  He may just be binkying less because he’s getting older. Like the others said, if he seems healthy other than that, I wouldn’t worry about it. If it’s hotter than usual, that could definitely be a reason for less activity.

  introduced yellow pepper yesterday and included 4 cubes in his dinner tonight.
  
  was thinking of a universal size that everyone can gauge and i thought, nothing beats a can of cola!
  
  he usually has 3-5 hours of floor time and has access to living, study area and sometimes the kitchen. he is running around a lot less probably due to the heat. just swtiched on the aircondition, it’s 11.30pm here and the weather is still unforgiving.
  
  will continue to monitor his weight. thanks for all the advice, i hope being ill is not the reason why he hasn’t been doing blinkies.
  
  i’m such a worrisome bun mom. hahaha

  It probably is the heat and that he’s settled in now. Some Binky a lot when they’re young and grow out of it. Then you have some rabbits that are crazy binky machines no matter their age.
  
  Do you have floor rugs? I discovered putting down some rugs had one of mine doing binkys again.

  well 2 servings of that seem fine, I’d say they’re close to the underfeeding side of the scale though

  For your rabbit’s weight the recommended amount of pellets would be 10.33g -21.91g so 15g is right in middle.
  
  The recommended minimum amount of veggies would be 4.8 fluid ounces ( approx 3/5 cup). It looks like your’e right on target diet wise to me!
