Hello everyone. Was so relieved to find this forum. I am in love with my new house bunny but keen to do the right thing by her. We are starting the litter training and in the first few days our bunny (about 12 weeks) was going in every corner there was and I think (although I know it’s partly because she’s still young) it’s because she was confused by having shavings on the floor and in the box. I don’t think she knew the difference and where she should go, although she did like sitting in her box and eating hay. So after reading some other posts here I have just removed all the shavings and made up a nice comfy litter box. We’ll see how this goes. She is sitting in it right now looking pretty happy. The problem is I’m feeling really guilty about her having nothing on the floor of her cage. It looks so uncosy. What can I put in her bed area which is her dark out of the way place? Is there a soft cotton wool type bedding I can buy? Should I put anything on the floor of the whole cage? Seagrass mats? Do I invest in a silly cuddly bed thing? Any ideas would be great. Thank you.
