My bunnies seem to be making this? I was wondering if it’s normal ??

It’s been pretty warm outside, though they are now indoors and they are both unspayed females.

I haven’t noticed any bald spots on them or anything but one bunny seems to be pulling out the others fur

and then running it over to this timothy hay hideout and sticking it in there.

        What’s going on?

That looks to me like a nest and describing nesting behavior. Unspayed females beyond the cancer risk are also at risk of false pregnancy, which is when their bodies tell them they are pregnant even if there is no male around. They go through the symptoms, even pull fur / colllect things and build a nest. Spring weather and good food probably sent one of them into hormonal overdrive.

Are you sure they’re both females? (Had them sexed by a vet?) Bunnies are often not sexed correctly which can result in “oops litters”.

Spaying is definitely beneficial for female buns. They have 85% chance of uterine cancer by the age of 4. It also eliminates false pregnancies which is stressful for a lady bun.

Ditto. How certain are you that they are both female??
She’s definitely has built a nest. If actually pregnant, then kits will be born very soon. Hopefully it’s just a false pregnancy though.
