  Lullabelle had a tumor removed from her mouth tuesday. I have since had difficulty getting her to eat. I can understand that she’s in incredible pain and there are stitches in her mouth and she just plain isn’t hungry. However, I can’t get her to touch her critical care. I have made it different consistencies from runny to mushy solid. The only thing she will eat are raisins and occationally i will see her nibble on her hay. I have been hiding A LOT of raisins in her critical care (which is apple banana flavored) to coax her into eating it. Her pellets are also available to her and shes’s not interested in those, either. She really just picks the raisns out and leaves the rest. My mom stayed with her during the day and said she was drinking okay. Though, since I’ve been home from work I haven’t seen her drink anything.
  
  I’ve tried forcing it with a syringe. she just spits it out. i dont know what to do. i’m so worried about her not eating. we have an appointment at the vet’s tomorrow afternoon but i would like to see her eat something besides raisins before then.
  
  anyone have any suggestions?

  Definitely try to get some pain medication. I can imagine the dental surgery would make it hard to eat….what did your vet suggest for getting her eating again? If nothing, give the vet a call and explain the difficulty your having.
  
  I’ve found that putting a small handful of hay wherever my bunny is laying down will usually entice them to eat a bit. It might take some bugging, but if she’s picking at hay, try encouraging that because that’s best for her stomach and will help offset the sugar from all those raisins.

  The anaesthetic does leave them feeling off for several days. Sometimes you see them pass some gross poo from the meds then they’re appetite picks up.
  
  If she’s eating raisins and trying hay, sounds like she’s favouring solid foods. Have you tried various greens? Herbs? Even fresh or dried foliage. Herbs, willow, apple leaves, rose bush leaves, crumbled hay cakes or those hay toppers that look like pot pourri.
  After one of mine had bad stasis I got him eating curly endive and fresh grass. It was little but at least have some fibre and nutrients.

  Getting them to eat CC is very difficult. Maybe your vet could show you how do get her to take it. My vet tech showed me how to get Bindi to actually eat some when he was sick.
