Hello,
I have two male bunnies, Dusty and Bluebell. They were bonded with one another and used to share a cage and roam free together. then i had them neutered and they fell out… so I have been spending the Easter holidays rebonding them. They were doing really well – spending all of the daytime happily grooming, snuggling, playing etc – and so last night was to be their first night staying together again, only at about 9 o’clock they started to fight!!!! I am assuming that Bluebell probably started trying to hump Dusty who reacts straight away.
I am about to go back to work and so am not going to have as much time to continue with all day bonding sessions in their pen in the lounge. So I have started to think that perhaps it would be better if I decided to let them just stay in their own cages overnight and when I am not around, and then allow them to play toegther when I am at home to watch over them.
It’s s upsetting because I know they love each other most of the time, but where they are both so flinchy and scared of being humped I’m too nervous to leave them alone again.
I suppose my question is, if they are not actually sleeping in the same place will this affect their bond?

This is them when they ARE friends!! <3
