This is gonna be kinda a bit of a long post, but these past couple days I’ve been offered three different rabbits, (All Easter bunnies.) from people I previously went to school with. I’d love to take them in whilst trying to find them a new home, but we’re barely able to pay for all the veggies for the two we have and since I live with my parents, I don’t think my mother would be too happy about it (I think she’s mentioned about our house being a barn about twenty times just in the past month.
) I guess I’m known in my old school as the bunny boy, AKA the guy you go to when your parents don’t want you keeping the rabbits you and your friends each got around Easter time on a whim because they’re cute (A reason why I’m not partial towards the teenaged girls in my town, I know all three of the girls, and that they’re all friends with each other, but at least they’re trying to find a good home for the rabbits instead of just letting them free into the woods.) I mean, I was offered a rabbit before, but that was a reasonable explanation why she couldn’t keep it. (She was having a baby, and didn’t think she’d have the time to give it the attention it needed and wanted to make sure the rabbit could get all the attention it could possibly want.) I also think it’s disrespectful to the parents when you bring an animal into their home without asking, all my pets have been “mom approved” so to say, even if you’re an adult, it’s disrespectful, when my brother still lived with us, he brought home a cat (mom’s allergic, so am I.) and didn’t even ask my mom if it’d be okay. We’ve had cats in the past, sure, but in recent years me and my mom both just are SO allergic to fur. (Yet, I cuddle the bunnies, I can’t help it, they’re so cuddle-able!) I was wondering though, if anyone has had any similar experiences this year, or in past years. I am flattered though, that people come to me first because I’m probably the “expert” in town. But it’s nice to be recognized as a good pet owner. To me, it’s a good thing to be recognized for, instead of the weird kid who was quiet and sat in the corner, doodling in his notebook. It’s a nice change, for me at least. So, I’m not quite sure how to end this now, sooo, bye now.
