  Hi, I need some help regarding my bunny’s behaviour, I don’t know if I should be posting this in care or behaviour section but here goes:
  
  I have 2 bunnies and they live in playpens.. Cubique is a clean bunny that has no problems whatsoever. So half of his home flooring is basically marble tiles and kids crawling mats.
  
  On the other hand, my other bunny Diglet is a dirty bum, and we’ve noticed that he gets dirty and lazy when the floor is cool. As I live in sunny Singapore, the weather is hot yearly, so we let them out on the marble tile occassionally (as it is cool). However, we realized that Diglet will always have cecotropes when he’s lying on the cooling floor for a long time. He likes the cooling floor but somehow he would seem to have a lot of cecotropes and he’ll just poop and lie on it. He will also become very lazy and pee on the cooling floor. However, when he is in his home where the flooring is fully kids crawling mats (not so cooling) he won’t have cecotropes laying around.
  
  Cubique doesn’t seem to have this problem, only Diglet.
  
  Anyone else experience this?

  I’ve not had this experience, but I guess I would say if you feel it’s a problem, this just put him on the other flooring.
  
  It ALSO may be that he does not have traction on the cooling tiles and that is why he does not use the litter box or move around as much and I guess now that I think about it, I would suspect that to be the problem with the cooling tiles.

  I agree, I think it’s a traction issue too.
  Does he have trouble hopping on the tiled area?

  If you want to test if this is problem, you could place some large ceramic tiles face down in that area. The back of these are still cool but are rough – providing traction.

  I actually don’t think its a traction issue as we used to give Jim only one small piece of tile. Also, he moves on them pretty easily, no sliding etc.
  
  He’s one who rarely eats his cecotropes, as we always see remaining in the litter pan. However like I’ve mention, when he lay on the cooling floor or any cool surface, he starts to have cecotropes within an hour. And after we put him back into his cage, where there’s traction, he still leaves his cecotropes around and causes a mess.
  
  We are thinking that maybe his stomach is sensitive to the cooling floor? Is there such a possibility? Thabk s again!

  I cannot imagine why his stomach would be sensitive to the cooling floor.

  I have a rabbit in my care that at times drops cecal pellets when marking. A friend said some of hers do this too. I’m not sure why they do this…
  
  Is the area where your rabbit deposits them adjoining or close to where the other rabbit is?
