So I took my precious bun to the vet a little less than a week ago. First, I feel I must re-introduce her because we found out that she was a she and not the boy we thought we had adopted. The vet said that that was actually pretty common. So we re-named her Maggie!
But anyways, she has been itching her ears quite a lot since we’ve gotten her. I told the vet about and she did some extra checks in her ears and didn’t see anything obviously wrong. She didn’t see any mites or anything like that, but that if she keeps itching to bring her back and they’ll treat as if she had mites to see if that makes it better. I was on the floor playing with her last night and noticed some little red spots in her left ear that weren’t there before. I took a closer look and they look like little scabs. She only had about 2 of them last night. I checked again this afternoon and now she has 4 or 5 of them. They are only in her left ear and they don’t really seem to bug her except for the itching that she has been doing since we had gotten her. She still eats and poops normally and she plays and runs around as usual. I’m not exactly sure what I should do? Is there something that I could do to make the scabs go away? Or would it best to take her back to the vet? Should I wait to see if they get better? I have just never seen them before and don’t really know what the best thing to do would be. Please help!
