…and, unfortunately, so are all the abandoned Easter bunnies.
As you may know, many people get baby bunnies for their kids or other family members for Easter and then abandon them when they get tired of the work. Every spring, rabbit shelters are filled with neglected hutch bunnies, accidental litters, and strays that people just let loose in the wild.
There’s something you can do, though! For years, I’ve been putting educational flyers around my town every Easter. At the supermarket, in churches, at community centers, in Starbucks…and I know for a fact that I’ve helped prevent at least two baby bunnies from being given as Easter gifts by (well-meaning) people.
I’m posting this flyer here so that you can do the same thing. Feel free to change it however you see fit. If you have the time, maybe you can print a few this week and put them around town. You could even just hand them to people who may be considering getting an Easter bunny. All the young bunnies who won’t be abandoned next month will thank you!
