My rabbit isn’t taking getting a syringe stuck in her mouth very well. She jerks away no matter how I hold her. We even managed to spill a little of the antibiotic medicine. Not too much, though, just a little. Are there any tips to syringe medicating my rabbit without it being so stressful for us both?

The best tip is to insert the syringe into the back, side of her mouth. Don’t try to get it in directly from the front. You will press it against the back teeth, and she’ll kind of open and chew it with her back teeth a bit while you push the medicine in. A tiny dab of soft banana on the tip (don’t block the opening though) can make the syringe taste better initially.
You can do this on either side of her mouth, with one of you holding down her shoulders firmly.
