  This is my first time posting here and I hope someone can help!
  
  I am taking care of a friend’s adorable male Neverland for the next couple of weeks (been taking care of him for 2 weeks already). He’s been suffering from snuffles for over half a year but has never stopped him from being a happy energetic bunny. Just yesterday he was running happily inside my appartment because we bought a mat for him to be able to run more freely (keep slipping on the wood floor)
  
  However ever since I let him out of his cage today, he’s been very isolated and keeps going on top of our router which emits a lot of heat. Mind you my appartment temperature is kept at around 20dregees celcius which is neither too warm or cold. If anything, he usually seems to think it’s a bit warm since he likes to go by the patio doors.
  
  Today he just sits there in that warm spot and moves only once in awhile to stretch a little or go pee then goes back. Do you think he may be sick? He just doesn’t seem like his usual self so I am a bit worried. He’s about 1 year old. Just to be safe I put an extra bowl of fresh water in that area to make sure he doesn’t get dehydrated but he hasn’t drank any.
  
  I also noticed he doesn’t seem to eat very much today and pooped very little compared to usual. I also know he’s not neutered yet if that may affect it. I am a little worried but cannot go to a vet until the day after tomorrow.
  
  I hope someone can tell me I am just worrying too much.
  
  (He finally left that space just a few minutes ago to come lie next to me, but it still worries me.)

  That is worrying… Is it possible to get to the vet sooner… Does your rabbit look to be in pain, is he lying in a loaf position all tucked in ? Is there any tooth grinding that can indicate pain or swelling and bloating to the stomach. Everything you have described is a warning sign some of them minor some of the not. That he is still peeing is good but if the pooping and eating have stopped that is a big flag to seek medical assistance.

  Since then he seems to be doing a bit better.
  
  Now he walks around the house a bit more, earlier when I put him back in his cage he ate and drank water which helped tone down some of the worry. When he lies down he sometimes curls up but he usually lies down on his side with all legs stretched. (I mean even today) Aside from the lack of energy this morning and this obsession with going in a warm place, he seems a little better, yet still not hopping around as much as usual but a big improvement since morning. The only teeth grinding he does is when I scratch the side of his cheeks which I thought was supposed to be out of happiness. He seems to be pooping and peeing fine too now. Maybe he got too cold overnight.
  
  Right now he’s staying around me and not going back to that place from the morning, maybe he just thought it was really comfortable.
  
  I will try to go to the vet tomorrow, I need to do so to get some medicine for his snuffles anyway. For now he seems a bit better but I’ll keep an eye open in case he shows any more warning signs that you mentioned
  
  Thank you very much for your reply. Since I am not his owner I really worry about a lot of things so I’ll keep in mind your advice if I see him act up strange again. For now he seems normal enough minus the not hopping around that much.

  It could be a gas build up that tummy rubs can help ease Temporarily or it could be signs of something else..
  Is he a foster ??? If so the rescue will pay the bills and also urge you to seek urgent vet help. If you are pet sitting then I would act swiftly if he stops peeing or pooping. In fact I would call the owners and arrange to get hi into care ASAP.
  Hopefully it is just a case of being out of sorts for the day but keep a close watch, bunnies can go down hill very quickly.

  Ditto Roberta. Just watch him closely. Lack of appetite accompanied with less poops is cause for concern as anything involving digestion can become very dangerous quite rapidly. If he refuses food, I would contact the owner and bring him to the vet. A little bit less active is not cause for concern unless it’s accompanied by other symptoms. Sometimes buns have lazier days too.
  
  He’s lucky to have a bunnysitter who is so concerned about him.
