I use Neat Idea Cubes and zip ties to put around my electronics. Not the most attractive thing, but I have found that Chacha stays out of the areas that have it.

The net reinforced hosing is thick and a bit stronger. I would try wiping something on the inside of it also. Idea being the smell deters them but if they do try chew, they can’t ingest what is used unless chewed right thru the cover.

Yes, similar to garden hose but I’m sure it comes in a semi-translucent colour. I can’t think what the stuff is called.

If the cord runs alongside a wall, you could go for the plastic profiles that fit up against the skirting. (Cable trunking). But you still have to cover cord at both the lamp base and plug with regular cord covering.

I use plastic tubing for plumbing that I found at the hardware store. It is soft plastic though so they could chew through if given enough time, but it’s thick enough that it deters them initially.

For a really determined bunny, I would just block the whole light off with NIC cubes.

My bun can still stick her nose/mouth through NIC so I have to use both. The wire/cable cover was still chewed on when I first got it but I guess it isn’t yummy enough to keep at it. If there are holes, I just cut a small piece to double up/cover the hole.

Unfortunately neither of these solve problems with the vacuum cleaner (the tubing on vacuum cleaners); 3 have already been destroyed.

I use tabasco sauce on the cord that runs through the kitchen. It’s a big cord that runs right in the middle and since Sally pretty much lives in the kitchen and I can’t move the cord out of reach I treated with some or LOTS of tabasco sauce. Hasn’t touched it yet. Of course she has yet to show any interest in any of the cords lol but why chance it? I know she hates tabasco sauce because I had to put it on her litterbox because she decided She liked the texture of her box. Ever since then, the box goes untouched

I use what BB uses, in the spots the buns can access it easily I have it multi-layered (stick a tube within a tube). The noise freaks them out anyway so they don’t touch it.

NewBunnyOwner, I really wouldn’t recommend tobasco sauce. Just my opinion, but can lead to a variety of issues. If you want an odor deterrent, use 50/50 vinegar and water. You can wipe it on the cord.

However, I have successfully used both cord wrapping covers from Radio Shack and from Walmart. But if he’s smart enough to nibble between the slits, my other solution was to run the cord straight up the wall, preferably in a corner (and in a wall-matching color so a cover might do that for you) and held in place with these little plastic things that screw into the wall and ceiling and a cord fits into them snugly. I tacked them along the wall/ceiling seam, then ran it straight down to the plug. These were usually for those that needed extensions to the nearest wall outlet, but the idea of keeping it out of bunny tooth range worked too.

When I first started bunny proofing, I had a lot of cords that needed covering. But I felt the plastic tubes would just be chewed through eventually. I kinda wanted something more permanant. So did a lot of reasearch and came up with this:

 In the above pic, as you can see, I needed the cord cover to go across and down, so I had to do measurements and then cut. Unfortunatelysince it’s very tough, you will probably have to get it cut with a saw/table saw. The white cord cover ends just before the big cable box starts. I keep the surge protector in it, it opens up and you can see all the ugly cords (below picture). The way I have the box attached to the wall is with screws. I had to drill 2 screws into the back of the box which then drilled into the wall. The surge protecter cord is run down the wall to the plug (which mimzy would be able to chew on) But it is also protected so that she can’t get to it. I’m thinking this is a little confusing trying to explain in text, so I just made a “How to” video which I’m uploading to my youtube right now and will post it here when it is finished so you can get a better understanding
