  My bunny, Panda, seems very healthy in that she’s eating pretty well and running around the garden, however her poos have recently been coming out in small clusters and are sticky :/ I’ve attached a photo of hers (on the left – also stuck to a bit of litter!) compared to her husbun’s, Luis (on the right). I’ve been told that bad poos can often be a sign of gut statis and now i’m really worried – I took her to the vet about 2 weeks ago for a check-up and they said all was fine, although they’re not rabbit specialists and there aren’t any near me! Anyway, could it be becaue her diet is too rich? She gets pellets and musli mixed, kale and parsley, a bit of apple and carrot and spring greens and then a lot of hay although they don’t tend to eat loads of the hay. I have started to just give them mostly hay with less veggies and pellets – could anyone help me?! : (
  
  Ok the photo isn’t uploading but his are fine balls of poo and hers are lime small grapvine clusters, lighter in colour and are kinda shiny?!

  The grapelike poop is cecotropes, a kind of poop that the rabbit must eat since part of the food it eats has to pass through the intestines once before the nutrients can be properly absorbed by the rabbits body. Normally the rabbit will eat this poop before it even hits the ground, but if the food is too rich (in proteins), there will be an excess amout of cecotropes and the rabbit won’t eat all of it.
  
  It’s perfectly normal but it indicates what your rabbit is eating is a bit rich. Don’t give seeds, nuts, fruits. The muesli is perhaps the culprit.

  Yup, a diet that is too rich can definitely be the cause of uneaten cecotropes. How old is she, and what kind of pellets are you feeding her? I would definitely cut the muesli…if you click on the “BUNNY INFO” link near the top of the page, there are some great guidelines on what kind of diet to provide for a healthy bunny.
