        Hi Every One,

The weather has been pretty appalling across the globe. Our temps have soared again in Perth and we’ll be sitting round 106 F for the next few days (its even hotter as you head North)  but there is a cool change and maybe some rain coming by weeks end. The bunnies and kittehs are hating it.

I was extremely concerned when I happened upon the news of the deaths during the snow storms in the North East US and Canada… I hope every one is OK and their fur babies and families are safe too.

Another friend also mentioned there had been a tornado pass through Hattiesburg MS (where a mutual friends lives)

Maybe for anyone in those area’s they could just say Hi, We’re OK so we all know not to worry.

My area is in a drought still. We haven’t seen a ton of snow this year and I imagine it will be an unusually dry spring again. I saw all the snow in the Northeast on the news. Glad that wasn’t me! Holy cow! They showed a house where the roof caved in under the weight of all that snow. I hope everyone on BB from that area is doing okay.

I’m on the east coast and we got walloped pretty bad Friday night and all day Saturday with the blizzard. The whole City was at a standstill. We luckily didn’t lose power, which surprised me since it was super windy. We’re pretty used to snowstorms here, especially this time of year. We got about 40 cm of snow. Spent most of the day yesterday shoveling. I don’t mind though, I love the day after a snow storm, it’s usually sunny and the air is so clean and refreshing.

To give you an idea, here’s a pic of my back door Saturday night:

Was sad to hear there were casualties due to the storm.

            Try to keep cool, Roberta!!

Mike, you’re right funny, eh? That’s actually the back door of my igloo. The picture was the full door but for some reason when I copied it from Facebook to post here, it cut the bottom of it off. Not sure what that is all aboot.

Good Grief LPT…. Will the snow at the door subside on its own or does someone have to work their way out and around to dig it away ? I mean if you had a pile like that at the back and front doors how on earth do you get out…?

Well we had to open the door, shovel out all the snow that fell in and then pretty much dive in the snow and start shoveling. Was quite a job. The whole driveway wasn’t that deep. It just really drifted up by the door.
