I just thought I’d share my little DIY project I constructed last night in case anyone else is interested. I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and picked up two packs of their storage cubes (17 panels, 2 shelves per pack) for $20/each. If you have BB&B coupon you can get 20% or $5 off one pack, too.
Since I had 34 panels, I just used 30 and assembled them with zipties to create three 10-panel lengths that can be moved and modified around objects to limit access, shaped into a circle or square for exercise pen, or stretched across a doorway or hallway opening to restrict Stu to one room. They’re only about 14″ high so definitely not for the jumping bunnies, but if your bun is chill, this might be a good solution. They’re also low enough to let my kittens come and go for play times.

Just for testing purposes, here are two sets of 10 panels arranged in a random Mr. Peanut shape. I don’t really use anything to secure the two panels together, though I guess a couple of bread ties on each end would suffice. Like I said, Stu is pretty lazy (and maybe even a bit slow).

Charlie contemplated jumping over for a visit but after Stu sexually assaulted him last week, his trust has diminished. For now, they just visit through the bars and dream of a day they can be friends again.
