The very first time I checked when I first got her (it’s going to take a minute to get used to saying that lol) I said it was a girl and we called her LuLu. But I know how tricky rabbit sexing it, so I waited another week and had someone who had rabbit experience peek. They said no, they believed it was a boy. So from there out it was Charley.

Well she’s grown quite a bit in the last few weeks and I decided to take a look today. And I am 99.9% sure it’s a she!

Now I am nervous though , I know spaying is more expensive and more invasive & I was a little relieved/content thinking we’d only have to do a neuter. Explains why she’s been so clean w/ litter box habits, I thought it was odd for a young un neutered male to be so tidy.

My son said he still wants to call her Charley because it can be either a boy or girl name. I’ve been calling her Char Char lately anyways as a nickname but I loved the name LuLu <3. Maybe we will do a first and middle name

I know does can view their cage as a nest zone and become aggressive and territorial of it. I haven’t noticed any of this yet, but she’s probably not really hit puberty just yet. & I’ve read that most does are larger than bucks. Otherwise, Im not really familiar of any major differences b/w sexes. Im still not positive of her age, but guessing that she’s around 9-10 weeks old. I know most vets spay around 4-6 months depending on size. I am going to start looking for a vet next week and schedule her check up & spay consultation.

anyways, here are some newer pics of her. i can’t ever catch the shots I want, she moves too fast and the cameras delay is too slow

she’s really starting to grow now. today I was looking at how large her hocks are and thought she looked like a little t-rex w/ her little front legs lol:

        snack time

playing w/ her tp roll and other cardboards

        potty break

        her favorite…timothy hay

I have a friend named Charlie and she prefers it instead of her given name

As for lady buns, I had my bun spayed at 6 months of age. She never experienced a false pregnancy (pulling fur out and making a nest) and I’m pretty relieved to actually not witness that! She had pretty good litter habits up until she got spayed, and after the spay, it was back to good habits!

I hope Charley doesn’t experience a false pregnancy. If she were to have any behavior like that, does it almost always stop once spayed?
We’ve been calling her Charley still and I had told everyone her name would just be “Charley Lou”. I still call her Char Char though

I hope I saw correctly and she is a “she”. I don’t like to flip her over or hold her like a baby because Im afraid she will resist and injure herself. We did do it though the day I last checked and she did not “trance” like some rabbits, so I had to look quickly. Im almost certain she’s female though. I did look and feel around for any man parts and found nothing.

She is full of energy, loves to binky run and jump. She’s a little fur ball too, her fur is so thick she looks much more plump than she really is. I noticed the last couple of days she was taking to sleeping in her litter box. Just sprawled out like she was in heaven. I gave her a fleece blanket folded up last night to try and encourage her to sleep on it. She did, but I saw where she’d chewed and clawed some of it up. I don’t think she ate any of it, because I saw little bits of the fleece on the floor. She also broke her tidy litter box habbits and I found a few poos around the blanket. I have noticed if I introduce a new blanket to her she always pees and poos on it a few times (at play time I lay down sheets, blankets, towels because we have tile/hardwood floors) but after a day or 2 she no longer will and is back to strictly using her litter box. I figured this was just her way of marking or claiming things. But that was another reason I had thought oh it must be a boy, he’s so territorial LOL guess girls are as well.
