Have you heard of budget bunny on YouTube? She mentions how getting hay from a mill or farm may have a higher chance of attracting mites. She mentions how her friend and her started freezing it and then giving it to their buns! :p

Isn’t all hay from farms?  I’m truly confused, I’m sorry if I don’t understand you correctly. But I’ve lived next to this place practically my whole life, so I do think I’d hear if someone’s livestock or pet got mites from the hay.

I stopped feeding feedstore hay cuz the good places

Closed down. Tractor supply like you said only seems to have alfalfa

The closest one still open has mixed timmy n alfalfa.

As you guessed correctly it seemed cotton picked out the alfalfa

It seemed to me.

So i decided on pet store hah which is across the street

Hopefully you will see the hay is to your satisfaction n geg

To save$. It really makes a differdnce.

They put hay in bags for 5.00 however i could buh a pax

Yeah, I checked the TS website, and it said that the store had timothy in bales in the store close to me, but they didn’t when I checked. And I have to wait until this weekend because when I finally convinced my dad to walk up with me they were closed already. (It’s literally only a few yards away, but I have social anxiety.) So for now I bought a smaller bag of oxbow for the time being. It’s just so expensive though, and I only get paid every so often from helping my dad with DJing or my mom with photography things, so I’m trying to save money the best I can, right now, the only thing I don’t pay for is their veggies and vet expenses.

Me too! And saving money on stuff like hay means more money to spoil with treats or keep in your savings for vetting.

Yeah they’re spoiled with toys, the only treats they get are craisins, which we always have in the house because I eat them also, or occasionally bits of fruit, which is also always in the house. Paying less on hay will also allow me to save the money for some of their veggies, and take less of the expenses off my parents until I’m able to find a job. I feel bad making them pay, but they always tell me they don’t mind, but the point is that I do mind. Also, I have 150$ in a savings account for emergencies, I also have a huge container and stick loose change in there it’s mainly for something I’m saving for, but in case any of my pets get sick, I’ll have that too.
