Me and my partner got 2 male bunnies around 16 to 18 weeks old, They were pretty much litter trained straight away (we just put a litter box in the corner where they went) they started nibbling the cage bars at night so we gave them there own little box room instead. kept the cage in it but we left it open constantly and let them have the whole run of the room. We also gave them another litter box at the other side of the room.
They were using it fine but about 2 months since we had them at around 24 – 26 weeks old they started weeing in random spots, aka anywhere in the cage, random dribbles on the floor (luckily laminate) on their 2 little rabbit beds. I thought it may be because we hadn’t had them neutered and arranged to get that done, however when we took them to the vets it turned out they were actually both female! We didn’t end up getting them done but plan too when we can get some more money together.
It seems to be less bad now and is more defined to occasionally on there beds and in the cage but mainly just outside there litter box, they do it there everyday, we tried moving the box, but they have continued this in the new place. We don’t know which bunny it is doing it as we are never around when it happens, Any ideas what to do or why they could be doing this?!
